Salem Keizer Public Schools extends their “warmline” through 2020 summer break.

When reading through an email sent out by our Salem Keizer Public School District (SKPS), I was pleased to learn that there is a way for students to access their school counselors 24/7. When schools closed in mid-march due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), SKPS implemented a new “warmline” for students to access direct support from school counselors any time needed, including nights and weekends. Thank you for wanting to find a way to support and keep safe our amazing kids! 

Through a simple online google form, students can submit a few questions and provide what concerns they need support with. The form is monitored daily by the district’s school counselors and when a submission is created a counselor will personally reach out to students in need.

The form can be accessed directly from the main menu bar on the homepage of the district website (salemkeizer.org), or by clicking the speak to a counselor button on the homepage of any school website in the district.
